Britain’s political parties lost the soul of this nation and they must fight to win it back

It’s time for you to choose a side.

That’s according to Britain’s political establishment who tell us a new fight is about to begin.

Just this week, the Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch told us the fight is for the soul of Britain.

But can we trust anyone in the political establishment to know what the soul of Britain is?

And have they learned their lesson?

They may not know it, but the true soul of Britain is not a theoretical concept, it’s a living, breathing thing.

It’s you, the people of Britain.

And for years you have been ignored.

There was no clear moment when it started to happen.

But gradually over time politicians forgot that Britain was a community to be grown and loved – not just an economy that brutalises the people unlucky enough to be caught up in its machine.

As a result, they lost touch with the soul – stealing the pride of a nation as well.

When GB News first came to life in 2021, Britain was in as sorry a state as it had been in for many years.

Like you, many of us here were lost souls.

Our mission was to find the millions of you out there who were in a similar state and reconnect with them.

Over the past five years, we have done whatever we can to tell the true story of Britain and drive that process of reconnection.

We have given a voice to the communities in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland that had lost theirs – having been abandoned by the political and media elites for years.

We’ve also gone to wherever the Union Flag is flown with pride.

Earlier this year we were in Gibraltar and this weekend the Falkland Islands, where a sovereignty battle still rages years after the guns of war had fallen silent.

For the next few days Mark White will hear from Islanders living in the shadow of an Argentina that still covets their land over 40 years after the conflict that left 255 British military heroes dead.

Rest assured, wherever you feel threatened, we will be there.

Wherever you fear injustice, we will be there.

There have been many examples of that in our first half-decade.

This year, people living in some of our beautiful rural towns and villages have begun to pay the price for the mismanagement of our borders.

Picture postcard places like Crowborough, Linton-on-Ouse, Piddington and Wethersfield have been targeted as dumping grounds for asylum seekers from across the world.

People-powered protests have sprung up against the Home Office’s strategy to convert former military and RAF bases into large-scale asylum accommodation with no real thought for the effect on the locals.

Thanks to GB News, their anger has been heard.

Politicians have been shamed into listening.

GB News will always be that crucial voice of the people.

As a result of putting microphones and cameras in front of you in towns and cities across the country a formidable community has been built.

A community that has seen people like themselves on TV, radio and online speaking the same common sense as they do.

And the GB News community is now stronger than ever.

But remember, it’s not you and me that need to fight.

It’s those who seek to lead us that have the real battle on their hands.

After two months of political party posturing at their conferences, it’s up to them to prove themselves as worthy to lead us.

Don’t forget that they are the ones who lost the soul of Britain in the first place.

And they are the ones who must fight to win you back.
