Mike Tindall poked fun at Zara’s age as the royal couple took part in a charity golf tournament.
The former professional rugby player, 45, attended the Mike Tindall Celebrity Golf Classic golf tournament last week, sharing details about Zara’s low-key birthday celebrations.
Zara, Princess Anne’s daughter, celebrated her 43rd birthday on May 15.
During an interview at the golf tournament, Mike joked about his wife’s age.
He told Good Morning Britain: “She keeps telling me she was 34, so I think you got the numbers wrong.”
Mike described the “lovely day,” starting with Zara going for a “ride in the morning”.
He added: “Then we went out for lunch and then we just hung out all day and had a few friends over in the evening for dinner. It was a very, very nice day.
“Probably why I had a quieter night last night because I might have had a few the night before.”
Speaking at the same golf event after King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Coronation on May 6, 2023, Mike shared that he and Zara had a “little date night” on the evening of the crowning ceremony that reportedly kept them out until 2am.
He said: “Never worry about what’s tomorrow. Enjoy the moment and then you can deal with the next day later.”
The ISPS Handa Celebrity Golf Classic Tournament, now in its 11th year, is held to raise money for the Cure Parkinson’s Trust and the Matt Hampson Foundation.
Mike’s father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, making the cause close to his heart.
